One Touch window Switches

The first series Logan sedan were equipped with another window switch on the drivers side than the version now sold. When you tip shortly on the switch, the window wil complete open unless you touch the switch.

The second series Logan sedan and the MCV have a manual switch (and probably also the VAN, the Pickup and the Sandero. But the Sandero has also different shaped switches so you can's exchange them). As long as you touch it, the window will move (up or down) when you dot not touch it anymore the window will stop moving.

I like the switches of the first series logan so I ordered 2 of them. With 3 days the switches were delivered. ( PART NUMBER: 60 01 546 817).

switching the switches:

the new switches....

Below: removing the plastic part around the radio

Below: first gentle lossen the little clamps named A and than the clamps B.

Below: than gentle remove the frontpanel by loosen clamps C.

Below: the backside of the frontpanel. The switches most left and right are the (original) window-switches.

Below: the original switch. Remove the connector

Below: the original switch removed. Watch those three little half circles;especially the middle one. The ordered new switches both have a side mark that fits in the middle half cirle. But.. for the right switch there are no such little circles! I think that officially the switch was not ment to be placed on the right side, and if I'm well informed the first series Logan has this switch also only on the drivers side. But the switch fits in, no problem.

Below: number 1 is the original switch; number 2 is the new switch that can open the window with one (magic) little touch.

Below: the new switch on the left side. watch the little mark that fits in that middle little half circle.

Below: here you can see the difference in height of the switches when they are build in.

Below: there is no little half circle in the middle for the switch.

Below: the front panel with the new switches; can you see the difference?

And to close this article: HERE you will find a little video (10 MB, AVI-format). In this video you can see the window closing. Pressing the window switch there is first a little "click"- sound, than the window is closing in one movement. On the moment it is closed, you will here another "click"; that's the electronic part in the switch that switches of the movement of the window. This very same part will stop the window from moving up when there is something in the way, although there is force needed to let it stop.

UPDATE: IT SEEMS THAT THE ONE-TOUCH SWITCH CAN NO LONGER BE ORDERED; THEY ARE OUT OUT OF STOCK AND WILL NOT RETURN.
